The mission of the MSN Warsaw Archives is to study and disseminate the diverse, often ephemeral, artistic practices of the recent past, connected with Poland and this part of Europe. The archival collections and the laboratories built around them help stimulate contemporary artistic initiatives and contribute local content to the global debate about art and contemporary culture.
MSN Warsaw collects a wide range of archival materials: books and other printed artistic materials, sketches, notebooks, designs and correspondence, as well as artistic instruments, photographs, negatives, audio recordings, video and film. Our collection of textbooks and journals is accessible at the MSN Warsaw reading room. Other materials in paper form are kept in storage and made available to researchers upon prior arrangement. Some of the archives were obtained by the museum only in digital form, based on non-exclusive licenses. All digitized materials are posted on the museum’s website.
