Let's turn into one big eye! Join us at the Museum of Modern Art and let's create multicolored graphics inspired by Maria Jarema's work!

We are celebrating the opening weekend of the exhibition "Maria Jarema. Cracked Modernism"! It is a great opportunity not only to enter the world of the new exhibition and admire the art, but also to get creative yourself. Intrigued by Jarema's words, we want to try to look at the world in a completely new way. We invite you to join us in a creative experiment, in which one of the artist's favorite techniques—monotype—will play a major role. It is a graphic method full of surprises, in which each print is unique, and artistic chance plays a significant role.

Come to MSN and print your own design! You don't have to be an artist, you don't have to be able to paint beautifully or know anything about graphic arts. What matters is the desire to do something creative and a willingness to embrace a little creative chaos. Our ground floor auditorium will be transformed into a workshop area open to everyone, full of paints, papers, and cutouts.

Complete freedom: We will cut, arrange collages, apply paint with rollers, and see what emerges from the combination of our imagination and the matrix. There are no wrong answers here!
For everyone: We are intergenerational. Adults, teenagers, seniors, and children are all welcome.
On-site support: Wonderful artists and designers—Monika Proniewska and Paulina Włostowska—will show you step by step how monotype works and help you use the tools.

This is a great opportunity to spend your Saturday afternoon in a creative and relaxing way, get your hands dirty with paint, and celebrate the opening of a new exhibition. You can take the colorful graphics you create home with you as a souvenir.

Leaders

Monika Proniewska - graphic designer and illustrator, specializing in book design, visual identity, and posters. She has collaborated with, among others, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, the Museum of Warsaw, the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle, the Nowy Teatr, and Vogue Polska. In her projects, she combines hand-cut patterns, abstract shapes, and the rough texture of printing ink with modernist typography.

Paulina Włostowska - a visual artist whose work includes painting, murals, lettering, textiles, and low-volume workshop graphics. Her works have been presented at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the Museum of Warsaw, among others. As part of the exhibition "Maria Jarema. Broken Modernism," Paulina Włostowska designed a mural in the "Theater, Café, Revolution" room, referring to modernist elements of typography and signs.
