What are we going to do?

During the class, we’ll look for inspiration in the work of female artists whose pieces are on display at the exhibition. We’ll examine the various soft materials used to create contemporary sculptures. We’ll explore them through touch and see if they make any sounds when we tap them.

Our session will consist of two parts. In the first part, we’ll draw inspiration from Narges Mohammadi’s installation. In it, the artist recalls childhood games of hide-and-seek and building hiding places, including ones made from soft pillows. We’ll see what we can build with them and how these pillow sculptures and structures react to our movements.

In the second, sensory-artistic part of the session, corn chips will serve as our sculptural material. We’ll use them to try to build three-dimensional structures—very similar to the works Giulia Cenci created using rice paper.

Important Tips

  • Allergens: corn (corn chips)
  • A workshop ticket grants admission to the exhibition for up to 3 hours after the start of the workshop.
