Us, Our Pets and the War

We hear about the human side of the tragedy every day, but there are many more victims of these brutal events. And not all of them have a voice. This documentary by a popular Ukrainian journalist and vlogger portrays the extraordinary bond between people and animals, a bond that grows even stronger under extreme conditions. In the face of violence and war, the people of Ukraine are coming together to rescue animals left behind by those who were forced to flee. From cats and dogs in abandoned buildings to lions and tigers in zoos, rescue operations requiring extraordinary effort are underway to ensure their safety.

A discussion will follow the screening.
