Good Boy

movie and meeting

21.01.2027 19:00
Todd moves with his dog to an old house in a remote area, trying to cope with his grief and start his life over. It soon turns out that the dog is the first to sense the presence of something supernatural. Thus, it is the dog – not the man – who becomes the most important witness to the events and his owner’s sole protector.

Good Boy uses the horror genre to invert the human perspective and explore the bond between humans and animals from the point of view of its four-legged protagonist.

After the screening, we’ll discuss the agency of non-human creatures, dog behavior, whether and how we can approach their perspective, and relationships and their boundaries.

Participants in the discussion:

Dr. Agata Kowalewska – philosopher and artist, researcher of human-nonhuman conflict spaces and nonhuman cultures from a transdisciplinary perspective.

Beata Furtak – ZKwP dog trainer, COAPE dog behaviorist, and veterinarian.
