What are we going to do?

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to workshops for children accompanying the exhibition “Edward Dwurnik: Pride and Shame.”

During the workshops, we’ll seek inspiration in the artist’s work. We’ll examine a section of his work “The Disaster of the Harvest” and together identify the fruits in the painting. We’ll look at their colors and shapes, and consider how an apple differs from a pear.

Our session consists of two parts. In the first part, we’ll use touch, smell, and taste to explore different fruits. We’ll examine how their skins, scents, and flavors differ. We’ll also think about whether fruits can be turned into instruments, and we’ll play a fruity melody together!

In the sensory-art activity, the fruits will serve as natural stamps. We’ll dip pieces of them in juice and stamp them onto a large surface. We’ll see what kinds of marks an apple, a pear, or an orange leaves behind, and we’ll create a fragrant composition together.

Important Tips

  • Allergens: corn (corn chips)
  • A workshop ticket grants admission to the exhibition for up to 3 hours after the start of the workshop.
