Flowers delight us with their scent, soothe our emotions, and sometimes serve as a means of expressing them. We will see this for ourselves at the exhibition "Nadia Markiewicz: Misterioso," where we will take a closer look at two unique works by the artist.
We will see unusual photographs of roses that have undergone rare mutations. Together, we will discover why such diversity in the plant world is a cause for great joy and pride! We will also see an intriguing sequined costume from the performance "Ballad of the Withered Rose" to talk about how the deepest feelings can be expressed through scent, flower petals, costume, and theater. From the art gallery, we will smoothly transition to the fascinating world of nature!
Depending on the age of the participants, we have prepared two versions of the workshop:
Children aged 3-6 (12:30 p.m.): We will use all our senses to get to know the queen of flowers – the rose. We will try to recognize various scents, read an inspiring book together, and talk about how emotions smell. There will be plenty of fun – we will make our own sculptures out of fragrant rose-scented play dough, allowing us to listen to ourselves and our feelings. We will also finally solve the mystery of what the aforementioned sport has to do with roses!
Children aged 7-12 (2:30 p.m.): Why do we like flowers so much and do they have a real impact on our health? We will explore this topic closely! We will smell a variety of plants and try to decipher their scent code. Together, we will prepare aromatic rose tea, and, inspired by the joyful diversity of the flowers in the exhibition, we will look at the richness of rose varieties, which will result in the creation of a unique work of art.
