What are we going to do?

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to “Lots of Hands, Feet, and Heads”—movement and art workshops for very young children.

The starting point for our fun together will be Victor Brauner’s surrealist painting “Encounter at 2 bis rue Perrel.” On the canvas is a strange, unique figure with many arms and legs! The main character in the painting encounters a bird that happens to be taking a walk, as well as someone playing an unusual instrument.

What will we be doing?

We’ll divide our session into two action-packed parts:
  • Movement and sound: At the beginning of the class, we’ll do some simple movement exercises to help us learn what parts of the body we have and where they’re located. We’ll see how far we can reach when we stretch and how much space we take up when we curl up into a little ball!

  • Art: In the second part of the class, we’ll try to trace the outlines of our limbs onto paper. This way, together we’ll create completely new creatures with multiple heads or legs.

Important Tips

A workshop ticket grants admission to the exhibition for up to 3 hours after the start of the workshop.
