How is a book made? Where does a story begin, and how can you use pictures to tie several pages together into a single whole? During the workshop, each family will become a small publishing house and create their own book—from the initial idea, through the illustrations, all the way to the title and cover.
Age group: 4–6 years
Together with parents, we’ll make an accordion-style book. We’ll use pre-cut shapes, colorful papers, and drawings to create a wonderful, simple picture story.
Age group: 7–12 years
In this group, we’ll create our own little books based on themes and creative guidelines that we’ll draw at random beforehand. Children and adults will have the opportunity to take on the roles of illustrators, authors, and designers.
At the end, we’ll put together a small exhibition of our publications, and each family will take their unique book home.
The event accompanies the exhibition “The Most Beautiful Polish Books of 2025: An Exhibition of Publications That Won Awards and Honors in the 66th PTWK Competition.”
