What are we going to do?

The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to a guided tour with audio description of the exhibition “You Are at the Heart of Change: Surrealism and Anti-Fascism.”

This exhibition presents Surrealism in a broad historical context and highlights its deeply political and social dimensions. The ideological driving force behind this international movement was anti-colonialism and anti-fascism, and being a Surrealist was most often associated with active resistance.

During our guided tour , we’ll discuss the inseparable link between art and its political nature. Together, we’ll ask ourselves whether we can view Surrealism not only as a historical artistic movement, but also as a method of action and thought that remains relevant to this day—not only for artists, but also for each and every one of us.

We are organizing this event as part of the series “What Is Not Visible in Art”, which is open to everyone but designed primarily with the needs of people with visual impairments in mind. Detailed audio descriptions and the use of the sense of touch allow visitors to experience the works presented in the exhibition. We invite everyone interested in this way of experiencing art to attend the event.
