Free Spirit. Cinema Off the Beaten Path
Free Spirit is one of the most unpredictable sections of the Warsaw International Film Festival. This year, it features ten films from around the world – artistic, formally daring, and telling stories that are difficult to categorize.
What unites them above all is the theme of freedom – both creative and personal. Although they differ in many ways, and their creators draw on a variety of genres and cinematic languages – from comedy and road movies, through stories with fantastical elements, to socially engaged cinema – they all tell the stories of characters searching for their own path and place in the world.
