Using their Historically Informed Performance approach to electroacoustic music, EMA has transcribed Sachermann’s music from the found tapes and will present it for the first time in Poland – alongside more recent works by Estonian composers Tatjana Kozlova-Johannes, Ekke Västrik and Rauno Remme – using technology from the 1950s and 1960s, transporting the audience back to the past.
The evening’s program will be rounded out by a performance of Włodzimierz Kotoński’s piece “AELA” from the Polish Radio Experimental Studio’s catalog, prepared by EMA using original equipment from SEPR and commissioned by the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. The discussion with the artists will be moderated by Ewa Szczecińska, a journalist with Polish Radio Program 2.
