The plot of Motor City is simpler than John Wick’s motivation. We’re in Detroit in the 1970s.

The originality of Motor City stems primarily from the formula Potsy Ponciroli uses to frame this story. It is no exaggeration to say that there are more corpses than words in his film – the characters don’t speak to each other at all, relying instead on facial expressions and gestures to communicate.
In the background, we hear a dreamlike soundtrack – including songs by David Bowie, Donna Summer, and Fleetwood Mac – while on screen we witness a picturesque massacre set against the backdrop of the automotive and music scene of the 1970s.
