The event is related to the recently published book The Yugoslav Art Space – Ješa Denegri in the First Person, edited by Branislav Dimitrijević and Jelena Vesić, the first comprehensive survey of Ješa Denegri's life. Denegri's concept of the "artist in the first person," describing the modes of dematerialization of the art object and performative practices directly addressing the audience, has inspired the conversational approach of the publication.
The conversation between the book's authors and the Polish art historian (the founder and head of Piotr Piotrowski Center for Research on East-Central European Art) Magdalena Radomska, is followed by the screening of Druga linija (The Other Line), directed by Nenad Milošević, 2016. The film is focused on the unique neo-avant-garde art scene in Novi Sad, Serbia in the late 1960s and 70s, depicting works and activities of such artists as: Marko Pogačnik, Želimir Žilnik, Katalin Ladik, Goran Trbuljak, and Raša Todosijević.
