The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw invites you to creative family workshops accompanying the exhibition “You Are at the Heart of Change: Surrealism and Anti-Fascism.”
The focus of our workshops will be Erna Rosenstein—a versatile artist with an extraordinary talent for creating amazing images and stories full of magic and mystery. To begin, we’ll try to step into her imagination and read excerpts from her fairy tales together. We’ll learn who Erna was, what she dreamed of, and how she viewed the world. We’ll also visit the exhibition to see her painting with our own eyes.
What will we do?
During the workshop, we’ll make unique props. We’ll draw inspiration from the symbols in the painting “A Peaceful World.” We’ll ponder where this titular place is hidden and who lives there. Finally, we’ll design surrealist furniture and gadgets that would fit into our own personal “Peaceful World.”

A workshop ticket grants admission to the exhibition for up to 3 hours after the workshop begins.
Biography of the Presenter
Mikołaj Brzozowski —MSN educator and one half of the osesi collective. He focuses on literary outreach and collaboration with diverse local communities. Co-editor of the publication "Poetry to Feel. A Collection of Poems and Exercises”—a volume of poems and a toolkit for facilitating activities using contemporary poetry. He studied cultural studies at the University of Warsaw.
