In Their Own Voice: New Polish Cinema
How is the quality of Polish cinema changing? What direction are young filmmakers taking, and above all, what kind of cinema do they want to create?
The new series at the CINEMA MUSEUM, In Their Own Voice: New Polish Cinema, is a review of the most interesting contemporary phenomena in Polish auteur cinema. The screenings will take the form of directors on directors, where filmmakers will lead a conversation with another director. This will allow us to look at new cinema from the perspective of those who are themselves involved in the creative process.
The program includes fresh, unique films created out of a need to express oneself. There will be no shortage of bold and artistically conscious feature-length debuts. We pay special attention to new film language: ways of seeing, telling stories, and thinking about the world.
The series In Their Own Voice: New Polish Cinema was created in collaboration with the Polish Directors' Guild.
