Five Films For Freedom is a short film program prepared by the British Council in collaboration with BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, presenting stories of LGBTQIA+ people (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, intersex, and queer).
Each year, five queer-themed short films from around the world are selected and made available to watch online for free.
Since their first screening in 2015, the films have been available for a total of 100 days, and the number of views is impressive – over 24 million views in more than 200 countries, including all 78 countries that currently criminalize homosexuality and all 8 countries where homosexuality is punishable by death.
This year, in cooperation with the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and the British Council, KINOMUZEUM will present all five films from this year's Five Films For Freedom.
