22. Millennium Docs Against Gravity: Queer Experiences of the Body

The Queer Experiences of the Body film section is an invitation to explore queer expression in the context of the concept of embodied being in the world and haptic cinema, which is linked to the tactile experience of the image. It focuses on works created in the 1990s, a time when both queer theory and film studies centered on bodily experience emerged. Special attention is given to the perspective of queer feminism and its representation within and beyond the wave of New Queer Cinema. The section is organized in collaboration with Arsenal - Institute for Film and Video Art E.V as part of the Arsenal on Location project.
