20th Asian Film Festival Five Flavors

Films That Change the Way We See Asia

The Five Flavors Festival will take place in Warsaw from November 10–17.

Asia cannot be reduced to a single image. For 20 years, Five Flavors has been showing just how much there is still to discover there. This anniversary is not only an opportunity to look back, but above all a moment to catch our breath, gather momentum, and move forward—toward the future of Asian cinema.

The 20th Five Flavors Festival presents cinema that goes beyond our conventional view of Asia. Vietnamese cinema that defies stereotypes, retrospectives of masters of cinematic bravura, stories that transcend the boundaries of the spiritual, bold voices of a new generation, and works by acclaimed filmmakers. The festival not only showcases what’s happening in Asian cinema today—it helps us see what will matter in the near future.

This anniversary edition marks the next chapter in this journey. This year’s spiritual aura is guided by the Fire Horse—a symbol of unbridled energy that charges forward. Such will also be the 20th edition of Five Flavors: full of discoveries and intensity, and at the same time, cinema that doesn’t look back—announces Łukasz Mańkowski, artistic director.

The Warsaw leg of the festival will take place November 10–17, and online screenings will run through December 6, 2026.
