Zofia Rydet used to say that her photographs “captured the persona” of the people in them, but did her project in fact only tell the story of the people she met? Could the artist, hidden behind a camera, also have told her own story in her work: the story of her joys, passions and fears?
During this guided tour we will take a closer look at the photographer's perspective, her principles and her work method. We will try to understand Zofia Rydet's presence in the “Sociological Record”.
The meeting will be led by Marta Przasnek, an art history and philosophy student at the College of Inter-Faculty Individual Studies in the Humanities at the University of Warsaw. She is interested in art, especially painting and sculpture – not only contemporary.
