Cross-town railway exhibition
WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION 2

The architecture of Warsaw’s cross-town railway line designed by Arseniusz Romanowicz, Piotr Szymaniak and collaborators

The railway line cutting across the centre of Warsaw is not just a transportation route but also a series of architectural masterpieces drawing the attention of connoisseurs from Poland and abroad. The common denominator of all the train stops and stations from the period between the late 1950’s and mid 1970’s is the team of architects - Arseniusz Romanowicz and Piotr Szymaniak, who had won the competition for the design of the Central Station in 1946, and later worked on its successive versions as well as designs of other stations.
