The Library as a Task for Architects WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION 5
What type of institution is the library today – a culture agency, an educational institution, a museum filled with books or a local community centre?
During our meeting with experts, we will start a discussion on the challenges and opportunities that Polish libraries will be facing in the years to come. We will tackle both the traditional library tasks (incl., lending books, increasing readership), and the functions which are becoming more and more popular with local communities (incl., library as a community centre, holding consultations with residents, or library as an event organiser). Together with our experts, we will try to answer the question of how the library changes with society, and if it is able to respond to its needs.
