Paste Warsaw into your notebook WARSAW UNDER CONSTRUCTION 5
“Paste Warsaw into your notebook” is a project focusing on Zofia Chomętowska’s photographs of Warsaw, taken between 1945-46 and in the 1970s, depicting destruction and the people returning to the post-war capital city.
The project aims at familiarising its participants with Chomętowska as an artist and history of Warsaw, in the form of a city game in Warsaw’s Old Town. During the workshops, participants will learn about Zofia Chomętowska and the concept of documentary photography, they will also learn about the history and images of Warsaw from 1945-47.
The second stage of the project is a city game in the streets of the Old Town. The task is to find some hidden places and perform various exercises, and paste photographs by Zofia Chomętowska into notebooks. Participants will be provided with maps and multi-page notebooks for pasting the photos.
The workshops and the outdoor game are targeted at families with children aged 9-13.
The project is implemented by the Fundacja Archeologia Fotografii / Archaeology of Photography Foundation, and co-financed by the Education Department of the Municipal Office of the capital city of Warsaw.
