Warsaw’s Facilities To Ateliers
Discussion about artists' workshops

Ateliers used by Warsaw’s artists form a part of the city’s artistic life. Therefore, as part of the sixth edition of Warsaw Under Construction festival we have diagnosed the situation in the area of municipal ateliers.

We have also prepared a publication devoted to this subject that contains recommendations to the Office of the Capital City of Warsaw (a publication is available at the festival’s and the Museum of Modern Art’s websites).This publication marks the beginning of our work to trigger a systemic and cultural change regarding the conditions of renting municipal facilities and devise a certain guide for Warsaw-based artists. During the debate we will present conclusions drawn from our research and will begin to discuss potential urban policy changes in this context. Activists, scientists, officials, artists and residents – all are invited to our discussion.
