BUILDING: WHY AND FROM WHAT? Open actions for children
In this series of activities our youngest guests can take part in open-form workshop meetings.
For three hours you can meet educators at the exhibition who will invite you to take part in exercises and creative tasks. You can join and leave the group at any time. Each meeting has a different theme.
What influences the shape and structure of residential buildings? What do we build houses from and why do we use certain materials? What is fundamental: the climate, trends or perhaps durability? What does the construction process look like? We encourage kids to join us in doscovering the processes behind the final result. We will pay special attention to building materials and their diversity in the last decades. We will also move around different scales, from the single-family home through the housing estate to the city.
