Curators of the next year’s exhibition “The M-Z Route. Modern Artists’ Scene” (organised at the National Museum in Warsaw) would like to kindly invite you to the meeting devoted to Marian Bogusz.
Magdalena Nowak and Łukasz Strzelczyk will bring you closer to events that Bogusz co-organised or participated in: 1st Biennale of Spatial Forms in Elbląg, the Spatial Forms Symposium in Ustka (1972), Visual Arts and the Vistula Motorway (1973) and Proposals for Warsaw (1973).
They will pay particular attention to the M-Z Route, a project from 1971 that was initiated by Bogusz: it was an artistic proposal for spatial development of the route between the National Museum in Warsaw and the Zegrzyński Reservoir and the construction of a modern building of the museum branch on the reservoir. This project combined all characteristic features of Bogusz's activities: a sense of duty towards a community, collective action, comprehensive realisations, modernist viewing of space. A fragment of the unique documentary of the project, entitled “Paint On a Cloud with a Brush,” will be presented at the meeting.
