Sketch versus drawing
A series of workshops for youth (aged 13-16)

It seems that making a drawing is the basic way to record an artist's thoughts, regardless of which medium he/she specializes in. But most of them make sketches.

Is a sketch the same thing as a drawing? The latter seems to be more independent and ultimate. Sketches precede a drawing as well. What are the methods of making sketches and drawings? Can we draw with a smudge? Can a drawing be three-dimensional? What is the relationship between drawing and printmaking?

We’ll try to answer these and other questions together; we will also try our hands in study drawing.
