Editing architecture Debate about architecture photography with Adam Mazur, Jakub Certowicz and Tomasz Fudala
Jakub Certowicz, fragment of an installation "Untitled (Nowy Świat)", 2015
Is it possible to analyse architecture – a frequent carrier of historical political trends – by means of photography? How can we reconstruct a narrative about Warsaw of today through a series of photos?
The meeting devoted to “editing” architecture will concentrate upon the specificity of photographing architecture and its potential to create iconographies which shape the collective narrative about the urban tissue. The point of departure for the discussion will be a portrait of Nowy Świat Street – an installation prepared by Jakub Certowicz – presented at the “Reconstruction Disputes” exhibition.
