Screening of films by Mateusz Sadowski and meeting with the artist

Mateusz Sadowski's films and photographs portray fractions of reality and concentrate on its mundane elements - perceived by the senses, but sifted out by the apparatus of perception as unworthy of further analysis.

Here, contemplation of reality can sometimes mean observing the world as if through the innocent eye of the child, while in other works the artist depicts the mechanisms of perception, memory, or dreaming. To this end Sadowski often relies on complex procedures of generating and processing images, as it is the case in one of his latest productions "The Resonance", where the source material was printed frame after frame on a set of cards, which appeared later in the film.
