Performance as the Paradigm of Art

”Performance as the Paradigm of Art” is a collective title for two events – an open symposium and a research seminar – realized at the Museum in collaboration with André Lepecki, a world-famous researcher, curator and critic in the field of performance and contemporary dance.

Both events aim to analyze the phenomenon of performance, effectively paving the way in contemporary art since the 1950s – a phenomenon that today may be regarded as the paradigm in art in general.
