The concert as part of \"As You Can Hear\" series

  • ATOM™ & Jacek Sienkiewicz
Wagner - Zwei Abhandlungen, Recognition Records 2013

Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw would like to invite you to an exceptional evening – a meeting of two notable and extremely meritorious figures working in the field of electronic music.

Atom™ (Uwe Schmidt) and Jacek Sienkiewicz continue their collaboration which resulted in an album released by Recognition Records and Goethe-Institut, commemorating Richard Wagner's two hundredth birthday anniversary (Wagner - Zwei Abhandlungen).

During the concert at the Museum of Modern Art’s Auditorium Atom™ will present his Aplha Txt ambient set, which is going to be released soon by No. label. Then Jacek Sienkiewicz will play fragments of his material to be published by the said label in the second half of the year. At the end both artists will join forces onstage to perform a highly promising set.

Uwe Schmidt - known under countless aliases - Atom™, Atom Heart, Los Sampleros or Senor Coconut, is one of the most acknowledged and recognizable figures in the world of contemporary German electronic music. During his long-lasting career he has recorded several dozen albums, stretching stylistically between minimal ambient and humorous versions of pop hits. Last year Raster-Noton label published his very well-received album entitled HD, which he later presented live to Polish audience in a now defunct Powiększenie club in Warsaw. Recently (together with Material Object) he founded his own label No., which released Early Reflections and Early Reflections EP I.
