A Weekend of Contemporary Sculpture: MSN x Zachęta

Warsaw has its own “Sculpture Now”! On October 17–18, the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and Zachęta—National Gallery of Art invite you to a joint opening weekend for two exhibitions that showcase just how diverse, surprising, and relevant sculpture can be today.

At the MSN Sculpture Beyond the Solid:

The Museum’s first-ever international exhibition dedicated to sculpture. Works by over 30 artists from around the world fill the galleries, corridors, stairwell, and arcades of the building. Some were created specifically with the MSN’s architecture in mind. This exhibition encourages visitors to shift their perspective and discover sculpture beyond the traditional framework of an exhibition.

At Zachęta Alina Szapocznikow / Nairy Baghramian:

To mark the 100th anniversary of Alina Szapocznikow’s birth, her pioneering works are brought together with Nairy Baghramian’s latest creations. This is a unique dialogue between two artists separated by generations but united by their interest in the body, matter, and the boundaries of sculpture. The exhibition will be the first such comprehensive presentation of the German-Iranian artist’s work in Poland.

OCTOBER 17–18 | SPECIAL TICKET PRICE: 20 PLN

Throughout the weekend, you can purchase tickets to the exhibitions at both institutions at a special price of 20 zł.
The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw and Zachęta—the National Gallery of Art—are just a short walk apart through Saski Garden. This joint weekend is the perfect opportunity to visit both institutions, see this fall’s most important sculpture premieres, and discover why Warsaw has become one of the most interesting places to explore contemporary sculpture.

Two locations, one “Sculpture Now.” See you at the MSN and at Zachęta!
