The Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, together with the confederation of museums L'Internationale, is establishing a Multicultural Youth Center. This is a unique space for 16-24 year olds to explore and develop their creativity, make new friends and hang out in a friendly and supportive environment.

The center will take care of the needs and desires of its participants, so your every idea and opinion is very important to us. We want to create this place together with you, and we will try to implement the ideas of participants during our meetings.
NOTE: meetings without language barriers! We speak Polish, Ukrainian, Russian and English. All our meetings are free of charge.

ABOUT US

The Multicultural Youth Center provides a safe and welcoming space for young people from different cultural backgrounds to meet, get to know other people and engage in various events, workshops and activities.

Through meetings and events, we will have the opportunity to learn more about ourselves and expand our interests within the visual arts, such as painting, drawing and sculpture, as well as the performing arts, such as music, dance and theater.

Through events, meetings, working and playing together, we will be able to share our experiences, values, ideas and perspectives.
The Multicultural Youth Center provides a space for young people to connect with peers and adults, discover their creativity, develop their passions and potential, and break down barriers and stereotypes together.

OUR GOAL

The Multicultural Youth Center aims to promote intercultural understanding, social, emotional and intellectual support for young Warsaw residents from different cultural backgrounds. We want the Multicultural Youth Center to be co-created primarily by its participants. The Museum provides space, substantive and organizational facilities, and will support the youth in implementing their own ideas as part of the Center's activities.

OUR VISION

We want to support young people in developing creativity, communication, cooperation skills, critical thinking, as well as building self-esteem and self-confidence.

We will meet at the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw (3 Pańska St.), the Museum on the Vistula River (22 Wybrzeze Kosciuszkowskie St.) and other cooperating institutions and places.

We will be working in two workshop groups according to your interests. The Refugees Welcome group will create the youth program for the exhibition called “Refugees welcome”. You will have a chance to meet, talk to the curators and be like one of them.

The second workshop joints culture and cooking. TISZ stands for “a table”, and in Jews culture is a synonym for gathering, joyful time while cooking, eating and chatting. Be a part of this group and share your idea of how food and cooking together may help to understand intercultural dialogue.

We will send you a framework calendar of events separately by email, after registration.
We look forward to working with participants to create a detailed program and profile for the Multicultural Youth Center to meet your needs, interests and aspirations.

WHO DO WE WORK WITH?

We invite young people from 16 to 24 years old, with or without migration experience, to get involved in the Multicultural Youth Center.
