ABOUT THE PROGRAM

“Summer School for Educators” is an intensive, 30-hour summer course organized by the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw, which will take place August 24–28, 2026, in Warsaw.

Why “Art That Works”?

Art can be experienced in various ways. Depending on how we use it, it can be a space for deepening knowledge, social engagement, reflection, self-discovery, relaxation, and pure pleasure—which we so desperately need in our daily lives.

Why isn’t this obvious yet? Because art confined to an elitist bubble loses its social power. For it to have a real impact—to provoke thought but also to offer respite—it must be accessible to everyone, without barriers or fear of not understanding.

Educators play a key role in this process by facilitating and enriching engagement with art. We invite you to a shared space where we’ll exchange knowledge and develop new practices.

What is the “Summer School”?

The Summer School for Educators is an intensive, 30-hour summer course for intermediate-level educators interested in activities in the fields of contemporary and historical art. All activities will be condensed into a single week in August.

We want to discuss how to talk about art, share proven methods, and reflect together on how to transform a standard visit to an exhibition into a meaningful experience that meets the needs of the audience. Our program focuses on practical knowledge, but we also make sure to include time for relaxation and rejuvenation.

What do we offer participants?
  • 30 hours of intensive sessions in the form of workshops, lectures, and discussions.
  • A certificate confirming participation in the Project.
  • A safe space for sharing experiences, where every voice and educational practice matters.
