Urzecze is a historic micro-region located south of Warsaw. It extends both within the city limits and into the surrounding municipalities, and for over a century has been one of the main areas supplying the capital with vegetables, fruit, honey, dairy products, and fish.

During the river trip, we will explore its rich history, ecosystem, landscape, and contemporary character from the perspective of the Galar Solny, sailing along the Vistula River. The cruise will take place as part of the FLOW/PRZEPŁYW project, under the guidance of artists Agnieszka Brzeżańska and Ewa Ciepielewska. Meanwhile, Wiktor Strumiłło—a filmmaker, photographer, sailor, and river enthusiast—will share his knowledge about Urzecze, both past and present, with the participants.

Participation in the rafting trip is free but requires registration, making your own way to the meeting point in Góra Kalwaria, and acceptance of the event’s terms and conditions. Space is limited. Registration opens on August 18. Detailed information about the meeting point and how to prepare for the rafting trip will be provided to registered participants prior to the event.
