The Egipska Market is a key marketplace for Saska Kępa, known for its intimate atmosphere and interesting architecture. The market is a prime example of how marketplaces can once again become hubs of local life, thanks to its wide range of diverse food products—from fresh fruits and vegetables to preserves and baked goods from a local bakery—as well as additional services and its educational, cultural, and social functions.

During the visit, we’ll meet the people behind this place, which is so important to the local community, including the vendors and the manager, Stanisław Roszkowski, with whom we’ll go shopping together. During the event, we’ll sample delicious, seasonal products and discuss how farmers’ markets can collaborate with nearby institutions—such as schools, preschools, and community organizations—to serve the local community.
