Join us for a presentation of a computer game developed by the 3D and Virtual Events Studio I at the Faculty of Media Art, Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
About the project:
The building is like a living entity that the player must take care of. The player acts as a mediator or a sort of manager—a “jack-of-all-trades”—who helps meet the building’s needs. Tasks must be completed: greeting the right person, replying to emails, inviting performers, stroking the walls, defusing a bomb, preventing the theft of artworks, and pouring wine.
If the tasks are completed efficiently and correctly, the building is satisfied—otherwise, it begins to devour the artworks and everything inside.
The game is inspired, among other things, by the experiences of MSN employees, who operate amid the institution’s dynamic growth, the construction of a new building, the changing expectations of the public and the artistic community, and the broader political and economic context.

The 3D and Virtual Events Studio I has been operating at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw since the 2017/2018 academic year and was the first studio of its kind at the institution. It combines the development of skills in digital tools and 3D techniques with the individual artistic development of students. The starting point is virtuality and its interplay with reality, though over time the program has increasingly shifted toward broader cultural contexts and original creative practice.
