In her new commission for the museum’s staircase, entitled Spine, Minh Lan Tran extends the language of abstract painting into architecture of the building.To mark the unveiling of the work, the artist—known not only for her large-scale installations but also for her painting, writing, and performance practice—will meet with the public to discuss the history and trajectory of her work, as well as the various meanings embedded within the materiality and form of Spine. The conversation will be moderated by the exhibition's curator, Natalia Sielewicz.
