Kingdom

The world is on the brink of war. Dawid (Bartosz Mikulak) loses his job at one of the last corporations still operating in the country. He and his family prepare to flee, while his younger brother Piotr (Aleksander Kaleta) joins a paramilitary organization determined to resist the enemy. It is led by a mysterious, charismatic leader (Jacek Poniedziałek). When his brother is killed in an accident, Dawid, following the principle of an eye for an eye, takes his place in the organization. He befriends its members, especially Jakub (Julian Świeżewski). In the military ranks, he finds redemption and love, but also gradually descends into deeper circles of hell.

The Kingdom premiered at New Horizons, was also screened at the Thessaloniki Film Festival, among others, and at the Barcelona D'A Film Festival, where it won the Talents D'A 2026 award—the jury praised the film for its “uncompromising exploration of the dynamics of nationalism, violence, and the formation of contemporary perceptions.”
