The musical finale of the museum’s opening weekend will be provided by Hania Rani, who is preparing a special concert for this occasion. She is an artist who needs no introduction in Poland or elsewhere around the world. Her musical achievements are covered by the press all over Europe.
Rani’s work alludes to the sounds developed by American minimalists, ambient music, film scores, and contemporary electronics. In 2019 her debut album, Esja, was released by the leading British independent label Gondwana Records. She has performed on many prestigious stages in Europe, from the Warsaw Philharmonic to Funkhaus in Berlin and the Roundhouse in London. In Poland, Hania Rani has won countless awards including Fryderyk Awards for “Best Debut Album”, “Best Alternative Album”, “Best New Arrangement” and “best Composer".
The concert will be held in the museum’s biggest exhibition space, which can hold up to 400 people at a time. The event will also be livestreamed on the façade of the building, on the side of the Palace of Culture.
