What comes to mind when you hear the word energy? An Orlen gas station, the special theory of relativity, Monster, an energy-sucking vampire friend, the Strait of Hormuz, radiating masculine energy, CO₂ emissions, another electricity bill, the Wrocław Laboratory of Subtle Energies, radiating feminine energy, drill, baby, drill; entropy, mines and windmills, a Hi-NRG compilation, or maybe something else?

To celebrate Earth Day at the Museum of Modern Art, we will read a variety of texts on the topic of energy together—ranging from scientific studies, through press reports and political speeches, to poems and alchemical treatises. The reading will be led by artist, poet, and curator Maja Demska. You can join the event at any time. You can send your favorite energy-related texts that you’d like to hear read at the MSN before the event to klimat@artmuseum.pl or bring printed copies to the meeting.
