Dracula

The film by the Golden Bear winner from five years ago combines black comedy with elements of horror and social commentary, once again demonstrating the director’s extraordinary creativity.

At the same time, it serves as a tribute by the Romanian director to American artists such as Ed Wood, Andy Warhol, and filmmakers from the Fluxus group.

In his new film, leading Romanian director Radu Jude tackles the classic myth of Dracula, a story that has already been adapted for the screen countless times. In doing so, he departs from traditional interpretations, giving it an innovative and original form.

In this multi-layered story set in Transylvania, alongside vampires, we’ll also see zombies, car chases, nudity, plenty of blood, and images generated by artificial intelligence.
