We invite you to a curator-led tour of the exhibition “Near East, Far West – Kyiv Biennale 2025.” The exhibition is part of the sixth edition of the Kyiv Biennale, organized by a consortium of curators from L’Internationale – a European confederation of museums, art institutions, and universities. The Biennale is an international forum dedicated to art, knowledge, and politics, combining exhibitions with discussion platforms.

The exhibition takes place amid ongoing wars, occupations, ethnic cleansings, and genocide, including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Israel’s brutal operation in the Gaza Strip, and a broader fascist turn in global politics. For many of the participating artists, armed violence remains a defining context and overarching horizon.

The curators challenge the traditional division between East and West, emphasizing that the future of Europe is being shaped today on its eastern frontiers. The artists offer alternative perspectives, rejecting the dominance of Western narratives and opening new horizons for Europe.

Curator-led tour by Magda Lipska of the exhibition “Near East, Far West – Kyiv Biennale 2025” in Polish.

Participation in the tour requires purchasing a ticket for the exhibition and collecting a receiver at the main reception before the tour begins.
