Intergenerational guided tour of the exhibition “Maria Jarema: Cracked Modernism”

Within the exhibition space, two female voices from two different generations will come together to view the same paintings through the lens of their distinct experiences, emotions, and life stories.

 

Each of the hosts will discuss Maria Jarema’s art from her own perspective—one that is personal, intuitive, and rooted in memory and lived experience.

This dialogue between generations, sensibilities, and ways of experiencing art demonstrates that a work of art never exists solely through the artist, but comes to life only in relation to the viewer.

 

Each of us finds different meanings and emotions in art, and it strikes different chords within us.
