Andreas Angelidakis (b. 1968 in Athens) is an artist and architect, working at the intersection of art and architecture. Defining himself as an “architect who does not build,” Angelidakis expresses his ideas through exhibitions, installations, curating, and writing. Using the Web to understand communities in real space, his works, inspired by the history of cities and the impact of the Internet on social behaviour, often delve into themes of ruins, both ancient and contemporary. Angelidakis speculates on the future of architecture in a post-capitalist landscape marked by unceasing media consumption and economic and social crises.
