Magda, 1984. (1-1/1)
The work was made during Libera's examination of human sexuality. The artist studied non-normativity of sexual behavior, gender fluidity (both biological and culture one), androgyny and their reception by wider society.
„Magda“ gains additional sense when juxtaposed with the work “Pretty boy” - both works depict the same model, whose gender can be only determined in the context of concrete, named and edited work.
The work consists of black and white photography, but interesting are also materials created in the preparatory phase of the project.
