Wojciech Bąkowski's film is a collage combining photo animation and primitive, computer-generated images. At the visual level, Bąkowski operates here primarily with slightly differing textures, thereby eliciting special attention from the viewer. He taps into the aesthetics of classic video art, late-analogue, and pioneering digital solutions, resigning on purpose from the technical perfection of the image and turning instead to VHS quality.

The formal measures are coupled with the literary content. Making New Worlds Instead of Forgetting about It has become emblematic of the Poznań-based artist, and the very title may be understood as somewhat of a manifesto, a declarative outline of the artist’s horizon of expectations from his own practice. The text is illustrated by fragmented images hailing from the artist’s immediate surroundings. Hence, Bąkowski's works often feature the same elements.
