Background of Art
A series of workshops for youth (aged 13-16)

Usually during a guided tour we have a chance to get to know the substantive level of the work of art.

Guides indicate ways of interpretation, explain ideological roots, place a work of art in the context of a given artist’s other works as well as other artistic phenomena that emerged simultaneously or beforehand. However, the creative process itself, artistic background, technologies and specificity of the medium are no less interesting.


The abovementioned aspects will be addressed during the series: "Background of Art/Secrets of the Creative Process". We will try to present works from both current exhibitions from the point of view of the artist and explain how they were made. We will also try these techniques ourselves.
