  • Old techniques versus new media

    Tomasz Kowalski, \"BBAARR\"

Art stays in tune with the times it’s created in.

The development of technology offers new possibilities to build the message. Old printing or casting techniques that required time, regularity and perseverance are rarely reconsidered. Generally, modern humans do not have time and patience. They need strong and immediate stimuli. There’s nothing wrong in it but sometimes it is nice to turn back time, stop for a while and return to archaic, artisanal creative processes. Due to their incompatibility with the modern times, they offer a therapeutic effect indeed.

We will look for works created by means of old techniques at the Museum’s exhibitions. Against all appearances, it is possible here at the Museum of Modern Art.
