KRZYSZTOF ZARĘBSKI, AUTOHEMO, 1976 (1-2/2)

In Lublin, at the „Labyrinth” Gallery, blood is spilling. The show „Autohemo” was based on a medical procedure performed by a professional nurse. It is Zarębski’s blood. A memory of hospital experience from the times when he had eye problems.

Greenness of plants, body of a model, spraying of blood into eyes. Transfer of medical procedure to the gallery, collision of coloristic and emotional impressions. Symbolism of blood.
